This role is to provide support for Plymouth Safe Bus, in particular to facilitate the moving of the vehicle to and from events around Plymouth. For this role, applicants must hold a CAT D classification on their license.

The current purpose of the Safe Bus is to provide a safe space for the Evening and Night Time Economy and is a partnership arrangement. The scheme is looking to expand its use to further support the maintenance of the Safe Bus by being made available for community events and partner agencies. The core task of the volunteer will be to support at community events and outreach opportunities

This opportunity provides an insight into policing partnership working and the successful volunteer will be able to contribute to an integral deployment of resources in response to force priorities around community engagement and Violence Against Women and Children.
